Announcement on the Revenue – Expenditure Status
(As of 30th September 2020)

As we informed, due to the enormous impact of growing pandemic of COVID-19, we came to decide not to organize the “2020 World Triathlon / Paratriathlon Series Yokohama” (hereinafter “Events”) to our deep regret. Those Events scheduled for Sat. 16 and Sun 17 May 2020 were to be hosted by the Local Organizing Committee as the events sanctioned by the International Triathlon Union (ITU), observing the 11th of its kind there, if held.

We have drawn up the Revenue-Expenditure status report as of the end of September in relation to the preparation for the Events. At this time, we would like to share with you, the athletes who made entry, the information on this status.

The amount of the ordinary revenue of the Events was confirmed to total approximately 120,000K JPY as of the end of September, which is comprised of the revenues from the athletes’ entry fee, sponsorship contributions and specified donations from the event partners. We plan to further integrate unconfirmed revenues to come in the future from sponsorship contributions, subsidies, aid, and miscellaneous revenues once they are confirmed.

On the other hand, the expenditure of the Events includes the costs for the race package production, PR material production (announcement VTRs, posters, leaflets, various PR media usage fees, etc.), venue branding preparation, EXPO preparation, safety material procurement, various manual production, and related events organization. As of today, the estimated amount of costs and expenses for various works and productions done in preparation for organizing the Events as indicated above, totaled over ＄160,000K JPY.

After confirming the ordinary revenue and final expenditures, we are scheduled to work on the settlement of the accounts.

In addition, for those whose participation was confirmed for the 2020 Events, we will offer prioritized slots in the 2021 Event.
