2.COVID-19 PROTOCOL & SAFETY MEASURES(As of September 26, 2022)
(1)Health behavior check of participants (*required)
Participants are required to participate in the event on the premise that they are "in good health" by undergoing health check ups for 7 days prior to their visit and by confirming that they are behaving in a manner that avoids the risk of infection (behavior management).
In the event that a fever or suspected contact with a person with a fever is detected within 3 days of the planned date of visit (with the planned date of visit as day 0), the participant will, as a rule, be asked to refrain from participating in the event.
(2)Safety measures for organizing the event
We recommend that all participants, staff members, and related personnel receive four doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine.
Participants will be asked to take their temperature at the registration desk on the day of the event. If your body temperature is higher than the temperature specified by the organizers (37.5°C), you will be asked to withdraw from participation.
The organizers will enforce the wearing of masks in non-competitive situations, ensuring a distance of at least 1m between competitors, rolling start, etc.
We will avoid crowding by conducting online athlete briefing and revised registration on the day of the event.
3.Conditions of Participation *JTU pre-registration is required
*Those who do not satisfy the following conditions will not be able to participate.
*Even if the participant meet the requirements, he/she may be asked to present a proof such as race completion certificate.

About the athletes briefing
- athletes briefing will be held online via computers/smartphones. Therefore, please confirm the event rules at least one day in advance and complete the comprehension quiz.*There will be no athletes briefing held in person in large groups as previously, due to the implementation of an online system.
- Guides and handlers likewise are requested to confirm the event rules at least one day in advance and complete the comprehension check.
* For relay, all team members are subject to review athletes briefing and the comprehension quiz. - We ask that all athletes familiarize themselves with the athletes briefing before participating in the event.

6. Event insurance
- The event is covered by official insurance by JTU.
- (underwriting insurance company: Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd.)
- Guarantee for injuries during the competition is only within the scope of the forementioned policy. Also there is no coverage of equipment or supplies. Please check the following insurance contents and purchase insurance policy individually in case it is insufficient.

About the WTCS Yokohama |
Regarding JTU competition rules and local rules. Local rule
For Age Paratriathlon Double entry in the elite paratriathlon [May 13 (Sat)] is possible, but cannot transfer to the elite paratriathlon after Age paratriathlon participation is confirmed. In addition, once the participation in elite paratriathlon is determined, transferring to Age paratriathlon is not possible. • The classification of Age paratriathlon shall be established based on physical disabilities. Please check below for more information. TRI 1 - Wheelchair user ・ There are separate World Triathlon (WT) and Japan Triathlon Union (JTU) entry criteria for entry into the Elite Paratriathlon. ◇This event is eligible for "Standard" and "Sprint" points in the 2023 JTU Triathlon Age Group National Championship Series. |
Participation fee refund |
If the tournament is canceled due to the influence of the new coronavirus infection, the amount will be refunded after deducting the execution expenses up to the time of cancellation. |
Refunds for Hometown Taxes |
Please note that once you have made a donation to Furusato, the donation amount (including the amount equivalent to the entry fee) cannot be refunded for any reason. In addition, if the event is cancelled, no refunds will be made in the same way. Please be aware of this in advance. |
Handling of personal information |
Organizers recognize the importance of personal information, and will adhere to the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws and regulations in handling personal information. Provided personal information will only be used for event-related communication and for roster of the competition. |
About videos and photos taken at the race |
Race staff or various media representatives will be taking photos during the race. Please note that images and photos taken at the race may be used on websites, posters, promotional materials and information media created by the organizer. In addition, it may be posted, aired, or distributed on websites, newspapers, magazines, and other media approved by the organizer. |
Transfer of eligibility |
Substitution or transfer of rights is not permitted. You will be disqualified if such acts are found. In such case, there will be no compensation or refund from the organizers. |
8.Environmental contribution
World Triathlon and Paratriathlon Series Yokohama aims to be a "global environmentally friendly triathlon event”.
In order to realize this goal, this event will offset (make up for) CO2 emissions by utilizing carbon offset credits generated from the CO2 emission reduction effects of global warming countermeasures.
Specifically, 200 yen of the entry fee will be used as an environmental contribution to offset CO2 emissions by purchasing credits equivalent to the amount of CO2 emissions generated by participants' transportation to the venue. By purchasing the credits, this event will indirectly support global warming countermeasures.
9.ENTRY TYPES
At the start of the entry for 2023, we have reviewed each entry plan and prepared multiple entry sites in order to create the best possible environment where everyone can easily enter and choose from a variety of options.
In particular, we are taking on the challenge of creating a new "Yokohama Style" for general entries by expanding the number of available entry sites to four. We look forward to receiving your entries!

Group Entry (first-come, first-served)
This is an entry plan for a "group of five. Entry by 2 or more female members is required.
This is a new entry plan based on our hope that women will actively challenge triathlon and invite their friends and colleagues to participate in the Yokohama event.

Please register with the prefectural triathlon union/association where you are based in Japan (URL), and then apply through the General Entry.
